Our Story
Founded in 2014, Utalii Catering & General Supplier has grown from a small catering operation into a comprehensive hospitality powerhouse headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Our name, "Utalii" — meaning "tourism" in Swahili — reflects our deep commitment to showcasing the best of Tanzanian hospitality to the world.
What began with a passion for exquisite catering quickly expanded as we identified opportunities to elevate the entire hospitality experience. Today, we operate a diverse portfolio spanning premium catering services, fine dining restaurants, and luxury hotels.

Founded
Utalii Catering & General Supplier was established in Dar es Salaam, beginning with a small catering team serving corporate lunches and private events.
First Restaurant
Launched our flagship restaurant "The Golden Spoon" in Dar es Salaam, bringing fine dining with Swahili influences to the city's culinary scene.
Hotel Division
Expanded into hospitality accommodation with the opening of Maisara Deluxe Lodge and Shakani Apartments, marking our entry into the accommodation industry.
